Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

Not at all!  Every body is a yoga body – meaning everyone can practice yoga.  If you practice yoga regularly, you will see your flexibility improve, along with other benefits.

What are the benefits of yoga?

Relaxation techniques incorporated into yoga are known to lessen chronic pain, lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome.  Other benefits include increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone.

What should I wear to a yoga class?

Loose and comfortable clothing that allows movement is best for yoga classes.  For relaxation classes, wear something that will keep you warm, such as a loose long sleeved top.  It is best to not wear socks, as they can cause you to slip on yoga mats.

Anything else I need to do to prepare for a class?

Please let Jo know if you have any injuries, and please put your phone on ‘do not disturb’ or switch them off so as not to disturb the class and take full advantage of the class. Please also email ahead if you are pregnant.

I booked onto a workshop, but can’t make it any more. Can I cancel?

We’d be really sorry to miss you at the workshop! But of course you can cancel, sometimes life throws us a curveball. If cancelling less than 48 hours before the event however, a refund cannot be offered unfortunately. An exception to this is if there is a waitlist and your space is filled. For sessions at the yurt I can refund if I fill your spot. Otherwise, I can transfer you to the next session at the yurt (if one is available).
